The 20th is good for me. Sorry it's taken me so long, but Blogger is giving me hell.
I ran into Julia, and she seemed to indicate the 20th would work for her as well, but I'll let her give her own answer.
I can host on the 20th, but Barb says she wants everyone to bring a calendar so that she can plan my 40th birthday extravaganza when you come (basically a marathon D&D session for my birthday).
I am available on the 20th. It sounds pretty certain for that date at Bat's house...?
And what a great birthday party idea! Sounds rather like my 16th birthday party, actually, except that it was also a sleepover and it was only with girls.
Absolutely nothing better interfere with the ability of any of you to make it Sat. 11/20. After the last few months I can't wait for a long evening of gaming and chatting.
Have fun on the 20th, everyone. RAGTIME runs Nov. 19th, 20th and 21st, so I obviously won't be able to play, but once the show is over, I'd love to play again with you all!
Just a thought as you "gear up" for this weekend: I think this would be a great time to pool our "dues" as we discussed last session (August?? Has it really been that long?).
If finances permit, why don't each of us plan on bring $10 to pool together to replenish the minis, etc.? If we act now, there are a few early holiday deals that we can take advantage of.
Jay called last night to talk to dh about something else, but he confirmed 6pm as starting time.
I'm in a bit of a panic, 'cause I can't find Thimble and my dice bag! It's been too long! Hope I find them before tonight, or I might have to roll up a new character and dig into my less-preferred dice.
Ack! Ack! Ack! You have my apologies, everyone, for not attending last night. I hope it was a successful adventure. I had a short notice need to care for my mom, which saw me in Buffalo until late yesterday. : (
You were missed, Paul. I think we're trying to schedule a game circa 12/18 if you think you can join then. I'm sure someone will post something definitive about it soon.
I hope the situation with your mother isn't anything serious.
"Common, standard hirelings are basically the usual craftsmen or laborers taken on by lower level player characters...In general the various occupations represented here are common to most settlements of village-size and above, although each and every village will not be likely to furnish each and every sort of common hireling." (ad&d "Dungeon Master's Guide", 1979) p. 28.
A careful (and at times even overly analytic) exploration of the traditions of "old school" fantasy roleplaying by two former d&d apostates who have recently returned to the game's roots. All advice and any suggestion is welcome.
Expect a particular focus on the retro-clone of OD&D, Swords & Wizardry as well as the occasional session recap from ongoing games. In our games we steal unabashedly from the great OD&D blogs linked to below.

I have plans on the 19th, but am free the 20th. *fingers crossed*
I'm good with either. Guess I would prefer the 20th as well.
Any idea where we'll play?

I'm looking forward to the 20th!
What a great birthday party idea! When is your birthday, Jay?
My birthday is Dec. 12.
Barb also offered to provide snacks for the grand event.
Nelly, you married above your station :-P
There has never been any doubt about that at all, my friend! LOL
Hey, join the club. I'm still amazed that Dawn lets me hang around.

Great to hear, Julia! We missed our fleet footed thief :-P

ps - Any idea if Paul can make it?
I miss the d20!

Glad to hear it, Calysta.
Hope the cast and crew all 'break legs'!
Sat. the 20th looks great here. I think I am as excited as the rest but think it wise we temper our zeal lest we discover a total party kill treasure!
Hooray!! A full house for the 20th! Glad you can make it, Paul.
I'm hoping you guys can bring me up to speed, since I missed two sessions, but I am very much looking forward to the 20th!
I think we'll all need a refresher, it's been so long.
Its all ball bearings these days.
Is that a "Fletch" reference?
Maybe you need a refresher course . . .

See you Saturday.
Phew. When I saw someone had posted, I was terrified that someone was canceling. I'll be glad to pitch in.
What is the starting time?
6p I would assume, but Jay should say himself I guess.
I've been assuming 6PM as well. I hope Jay let's us know if that doesn't work for his family...

Hello everyone,
Sorry it's taken so long! Mrs. Batman and the Batlings and I have been running around like lunatics for days!
6:00 is it! Could you please bring snacks if you see this -- we've been too busy to pick any up!
Thanks!
