Next Session

How does June 11 or June 12 work for everyone for our next session?

Right now, both days are clear for me, so I could do either.

As a follow-up on dice, my physicist husband said that, while there are only the five maximally symmetric polyhedral solids (i.e. Platonic solids, being the 4, 6, 8, 12, and 20), other polyhedral shapes only require equal area sides. Platonic solids have both equal sides and angles. In case anyone cared....

Hello everyone,

June 12 is good for me. June 11 is bad. It's also the day when most of us (in the dept.) have the workshop and picnic -- I don't know how much that makes a difference to anyone.

As for the physicist talk -- I have NO IDEA what all of that means! THAT is why I'm an English -- all that sciency stuff just flies straight over my head. Why do you think I've gone so bald? Too many flybys.

Either day works, but Friday might be slightly better.

Either day works for me as well.

The summer won't really begin for me until we kick off our summer sessions!

And Julia - please thank your husband for the free analysis. If he really has a lot of time on his hands, I'd love for him to confirm the comments of the owner of Dice Science:

Of course, this isn't exactly a question of theoretical physics, but I'd love to hear the opinion of an intelligent non-expert.

See you all soon!

OK then. Looks like we're on for June 12. Can't wait.

Who of the original group is left, characterwise?

I don't think either date works for me since we'll be out of town that week and I'm not sure we'll be back by the eve of the 12th. Consequently, Beric the Cleric will be absent.
